Inflation Adjusted WTI

It didn't do anything for decades.  What makes you believe crude oil will pop back up now?   Barring a supply disruption, I believe it'll be quite a long time (full of brief, range-bound trades) as the entire sector defaults and consolidates.  After all, it is an enormous sector.

You will note that when there's a spike in crude oil, recessions tend to follow.  We have a paper here on the site which examined this phenomenon.  Just something I felt worth pointing out.  You never know when we'll see a large spike down the road.  Keep this in mind when you do.
